Biography

Jessica Pratley has been working as a Forensic Psychologist since 2007 and was endorsed as a Clinical Psychologist in 2018. She has a Master’s degree in Forensic Psychology and completed a further Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology in 2016. She is a Member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS), College of Forensic Psychologists, and is a Board Approved Supervisor. She is a member of the Australia New Zealand Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abuse (ANZATSA), an accredited counsellor with the NSW Children’s Commission Child Sex Offender Counsellor Accreditation Scheme, an Authorised Clinician with the NSW Children’s Court Clinic, an Approved Psychologist with the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions, and an Approved Psychologist for Family and Community Services.

Jessica specialises within the fields of sexual abuse and child protection. She is experienced in conducting assessments and providing therapeutic interventions in both of these domains. Jessica works with children who have engaged in problematic or harmful sexual behaviours, as well as adolescents and adults who have sexually abused or offended. She is skilled in working therapeutically with children, adolescents, adults and families. Jessica has been employed in a range of public and private sector positions. At LSC Psychology, Jessica conducts assessments for a range of purposes including risk assessments, prohibited employment assessments, parental capacity assessments (of biological and foster carers), Family Court assessments, and general assessments related to criminal behaviour, including the impact of offending on victims. Jessica provides expert evidence for a range of decision-making bodies including Civil and Criminal Courts, the Federal Circuit Court and Family Court of Australia, and the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal. She co-facilitates a group treatment program for sex offenders and works therapeutically with a broad range of clients. Jessica has provided education to a range of services and is currently a Consultant Educator with the Education Centre Against Violence.
