Miriam is a Clinical and Forensic Psychologist and a Board Approved Clinical and Forensic Supervisor. Miriam has experience supporting and advising on issues related to ethical practice, professional development and difficulties within the workplace. She also has skills in report writing, risk assessment and the provision/facilitation of individual and group-based psychological intervention for a range of psychological issues, offending behaviours and life difficulties. Miriam provides independent expert reports for the Courts, NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal, NSW Office of the Children’s Guardian and religious bodies (such as the Church). She is also involved in supervising psychologists through all stages of their career development. Her therapeutic style is collaborative and solution-focused, with an emphasis on assisting individuals in learning how to better manage current and future difficulties.
Miriam is a member of the Australian Psychological Society colleges of Clinical and Forensic Psychology and is accredited through the NSW Child Sex Offender Counsellor Accreditation Scheme (CSOCAS) at Supervisor Level. She is a member of the Australian and New Zealand Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abuse (ANZATSA) and the Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers (ATSA).
