Biography

Kate is a Clinical Psychologist, who completed her doctorate in the area of family therapy. She specialises in the assessment and treatment of children, adolescents and their families.

She has worked in the public health sector in both Canada and Australia with adolescents and their families experiencing chronic psychiatric, emotional and behavioural problems requiring inpatient treatment. Kate has extensive experience with cognitive and psychometric assessments for adolescents with complex mental health presentations.

Kate has worked in the out-of-home care sector (foster, kinship or adoption) from both a health and non-government perspective. She has experience writing assessments for adolescents within the juvenile justice system, placement suitability reports and mental health assessments. She has provided therapeutic interventions for children and foster parents to assist with the management of trauma and attachment related concerns.
